SC Botanical Garden

Graham and I took a trip out to the SC Botanical Garden in Clemson a few weeks ago on Martin Luther King Day when we both had the day off.  I used to go all the time when I went to Clemson, but hadn’t been in years.  What a fantastic place.  Even in the Winter, it was teeming with life.

The natural sculptures are my favorite part of the gardens.  Artists are commissioned to create these unique sculptures using natural materials that grow and change in their environments.  Many you can walk inside like this little cave Graham went into.  The garden also has a beautiful pond filled with gigantic fish that ate the rest of our breakfast biscuits.

Graham loved the train located at the front of the Garden.  He climbed on it and pretended he was on a fire truck putting out fires with me.  We had a great time.   When we got back in the car, I asked Graham what was his favorite part of the Garden.  He said, “Mommy!”  Then after a few seconds he changed his mind and said, “The firetruck.”  I am going to stick with the first answer though.Train
