About Our Family

We are Danielle and Michael.  We have a 3 year old son named Graham and a 1 year old daughter named Surae.  We adopted Surae from China on October 27, 2007 and brought her home on November 10.   I am a disability services coordinator and Michael is a salesperson.  We love music, camping, and travel.

Hey guys. I can’t find your email address anywhere. Email me @ stardust047@gmail.com. Me and Mom are confused. About how old will your baby girl be when you get her?

Congrats on your beautiful daughter! I got to your blog through the link on RQ. My daughter is also from Fenyi SWI and will be 3 next week. She was 7 months at referral as well. We are waiting for dd#2. Please join the Fenyi Yahoo group – lots of great info. The babies are all so beautiful and well cared for there!

    Dear Danielle,
Russell showed us your “blog?” and it is great. We are anxious to meet her when you and Michael return. Suggestion: the best way I know to reset your body clock after the flight over is to lay in the sun by the hotel pool. It worked for Sandra and me for many years.
    Congratulations and Good Luck!

Hi Guys! Michael, thank you for sending me the link. I cannot believe that that is Graham! He is not a little boy anymore! He is soooo adorable. I can still eat him up! I showed Wade his latest pic and he had no idea who it was. He was shocked when I told him it was Graham. I am so happy for you guys. I cannot wait to meet her! Graham is going to make the best BIG brother in the world. You guys are going to be the BEST parents in the world! I do have to ask, A POSSUM????

Hi from Shanghai! I am an American teacher here in Shanghai and I have been following your blog to your baby girl! I have two Chinese daughters, now 3 and 5, both from Changsha, Hunan. I read you will be heading my way for a few days on the way to Jiangxi, so if you need anything while you are in Shanghai, let me know. I would be glad to help! Or if you want to get together for a meal or some shopping…let me know!
Blessings on your preparations to travel!

You guys, finally have a dial up connection and got the fabulous news about the arrival of your beautiful daughter Surae. The photos are really great and we are so, so happy for you both. Graham looks like such a cutie too – we cant believe we have not actually met him yet. Shame on us – we will have to work on that. Now living in Ireland – left France in August with much sadness but the move to Ireland has been good if not exhausting. House needed lots of work. Boys love it here but miss France and John still talks about Greenville. Please, please come visit when the kids get their travelling feet. Love to you all. Miss you. Liz and Tom

Like Rick Warshany said, we’re related. I found you by doing a Google search for Warshany. Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your blog. Your children are sweethearts.

Hi, Danielle! I love the pics of Graham and Surae. I am glad that you and Michael, and the little ones are doing well.

Sean and I are also pursuing adoption as the means to grow our family. We hope to adopt an infant domestically. We finished our home study this spring, and were matched for a July due date, but it fell through. So we are back to the waiting game. Maybe one day it will happen for us too…it’s just too hard to be patient when we’ve already waited this long.

WoW! you do have the http://www.internet.com in SC. Great family photos. Looks like Floyd Fest and the Hackensaw Boys were quite a riot. Good stuff, good stuff. Now that I’ve read about every family excursion, including poopie bathroom trips, will you stop w/ the badgering about me not reading your blog? HA! love ya.

    Hello Danielle and Michael,
We LOVE your New Orleans pictures! You obviously had a lot of fun on your trip! We’re so sorry we couldn’t join you for lunch at Commanders’. We had just returned from visiting our son and his family in Iowa and we were quite a mess! Earl had pink eye and I was covered in an ugly rash!

Hopefully, you’ll return next year and we can all get together. We feel like we know your family, even though we only know Michael through email and phone calls.

Your children are beautiful. We love your blog.

Best wishes for a great year and hope to meet all of you on your next trip to New Orleans.

    Earl and Tina Pressler
