Toddler T-Ball

Graham and Ben

Graham has been playing T-Ball the past few weeks along with his buddy Ben.  It’s pretty funny to watch a group of 3 year olds attempt sports and even funnier to watch adults try to get them to attempt those sports.  The coaches mainly focused on trying to get the kiddos to catch the ball, hit the ball, and figure out how to run the bases.  They did a great job, but sometimes they just decided they couldn’t take it anymore and resorted to a game of “Duck, Duck Goose” instead.    I can’t say that I blamed them.  Trying to organize 3 year olds is a hefty task.

Stork has Landed and We are Finally Next!!

China just finished placing children for the families whose adoption application documents were registered with their office before November 21, 2005.  We are November 22, so I can finally say with absolute certainty that WE ARE NEXT!!!!  We should receive our referral in the beginning of September.  So, check back then and you will finally see our baby girls picture at last.  Unfortunately, we won’t be able to travel in October due to Chinese holidays and a trade show.  The hotels stay booked, so we have to wait until November to get her.  That will be a long 2 months.  We’ll probably be in China on my birthday though and what a present that will be!!  I am so excited.  We have been working on all of this for over 2 years now and it finally seems real.

On another note, Mel and Dave are getting ready to travel to China to pick up Ellie.  We are thrilled for them as well.  They should be leaving in the next few weeks.  So much excitement!
